HAPPENINGS FOR 2018
May 6, 2018I began 2018 with a dynamite show of my sculptures at Smith & Vallee Art Gallery in Edison, WA. This show was with painter Becky Fletcher and the opening, where we each spoke of our artistic lives was greatly attended and at the months end they had sold over half of my sculptures and nearly all of Becky’s paintings! Then for February, I showed with them also in their annual Bird Invitational Exhibition.
Locally I will have another year of showing my bronze COMING HOME at the Madrona Grove Sculpture Exhibit in Anacortes, WA.
I just completed a sketch of a lion for the Sketch for Survival 2018. Explorers against Extinction is a wildlife conservation campaign organized by the UK Charity “The Real Africa Trust”. The exhibit will be on display at the prestigious Gallery @Oxo in London as well as three days in New York.
I was part of the Howard Mandville Art Gallery Contemporary Show and their Bird Show in Kirkland, WA.
I will be again showing my bronze LOVING EMBRACE at the Wenatchee Art On The Avenue venue for 2018.
Beginning on the first day of Spring, The National Sculpture Society’s Fellows Online Invitational shows my latest bronze, WINTER’S EMBRACE.
Scheduled for August 1st, I will present about 12 new paintings at the Scot Milo Gallery in Anacortes, WA.
I am honored to once again be selected to be part of The National Sculpture Society’s 85th Annual Awards Exhibit at Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina from August 11th to October 28th. They will be exhibiting my bronze sculpture SPIRALING RELEASE.
MY LITTLE CHICKADEE bronze has been selected for the 58th Annual Exhibit of the Society of Animal Artists. This exhibit will be from July to October at The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in St. Petersburg, Florida, The Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum, Oradell, NJ., and the The Sternberry Museum of Natural History in Hays, Kansas.
In September I will have an original painting and my bronze sculpture SPIRALING RELEASE at the prestigious Western Visions Show at The National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming
I was honored to have my bronze sculpture OF GRACE purchased and permanently installed at The Vogel Schwartz Sculpture Garden in Little Rock, Arkansas this spring.
Along with all of this happening, I am soon to see my first book published, THE CAT & THE CORACLE will soon be released and with that I hope to plan an exhibition of the 24 colored illustrations and the 15 black & white drawings that are to be included in this book of art & poetry.
