Information:
ENVIRONMENTAL EVOLUTION is connected to these paintings. The process introduces oxidation to composite gold leaf, gilded panels. This alchemy has been the experimentation of 15 years of working with these corrosive creations. Not only are the subjects of our precious environment, but the beautiful Pacific Northwest is a land of corrosive condensation. The oxidation creates the green tones in a painting and the process also breaks through to the under paint of red, giving a raku effect to each unique piece.
