AN OWL ON THE MOON

Between the worlds
an owl flew
defining realms for me and you

Roosting on the
sliver of a moon
her hooting seemed
a soulful tune

While I, upon the nighttime beach
now saw our worlds
within my reach

So touch I did
the coming light
and flew away
from the predacious night
